“I am a Pee Wee! A mighty mighty Pee Wee…”
It is easy to find our Pee Wees during the summer, you hear them chanting their song as they move through activities. Swimming, crafts and Bible lessons are all a part of the fun. Pee Wee camp is a great opportunity for Camp Deer Run to partner with you to help your children establish a foundation in Christ.
Pee Wee camp is for children ages 5 to 8 years old. During the summer there are 8 Pee Wee sessions. A Pee Wee session takes place Monday through Thursday. Pee Wee campers arrive to camp at 9 a.m. and their day of camp ends at 3 p.m. Each summer CDR is blessed to serve around 300 Pee Wee campers!

Peewee Daily Activities
Swimming
PeeWee campers get to go swimming for about an hour every day. Puddle Jumper life jackets will be provided and required for all campers unless they complete the swim test: swim the length of the pool unassisted and without stopping. All swimming activities will always be supervised by two lifeguards.
Bible Lesson
Camp Deer Run is all about introducing kids to Jesus in a fun way. During PeeWee Bible Lessons, our staff will teach campers about the gospel in an exciting way that we hope will spark a lasting interest and love for the Lord.
Crafts
Every day throughout the session, PeeWees get to work on a variety of crafts that they’ll take home at the end of the week. The crafts change every summer, but some favorites from the past have been bird feeders, bracelets, coloring books, and even backpacks!
Group Games
Whether it’s playing in the creek, a water balloon fight, or a classic cowboy cookout, every day has a group game that revolves around the theme for the day. Check out the list below to see the PeeWee theme days.
Snack
Once a day, PeeWees will get to take a break and have a snack. We provide the snacks, so don’t worry about packing one!
Hymn Time
For 30 minutes every day, PeeWee campers and staff will gather together to sing praises to God…the CDR way! With tons of fun songs that kids love, they’ll get to see that Jesus is FUN!
PeeWee Theme Days
MONDAY: GOOFY GAME DAY
Campers enjoy playing all kinds of simple goofy games together during their first day of camp.
TUESDAY: WILD WATER DAY
Campers always have fun splashing in Killi Creek! Please send an extra shirt for your camper to wear over their swimsuit in the creek.
WEDNESDAY: CRAZY COLOR DAY
Campers can wear mismatched colorful clothes for this fun day. Campers will enjoy some simple yet color-filled activities throughout the day including a water balloon fight!
THURSDAY: CLASSIC COOKOUT DAY
Campers will enjoy a traditional cookout with silly songs, campfire stories and hot dogs cooked over a campfire for lunch. You do not need to send a lunch with your camper on this day.
